Rediscover your old Posts

Today’s lesson is all about recycling your old stuff and interlinking them to the new ones which you write.

It is an easy process, pretty similar to linking your posts.

But interlinking makes your readers spend more time revolving about your blog only rather than that of others.

Just 10 minutes to interlink pre-posts…
  • It is useful when a reader opens my blog and not only gets answers to his questions but some valuable suggestions, where to go and explore related topics.
  • Sometimes, in your new posts you may use a word or a phrase that you had elaborated in your earlier posts.
No need to re-explain!
Just make the each of the word a link to your old posts and in lieu get the reader whorled in your blog only, link after link……….
  • Search Engines go for the links within a blog parallel to links to other blogs to index and rank content.
  • Internal links lead to a considerable increase in page views as the visitor reads more than one page every time he opens your blog.

Financially it may help you to earn more if you are running CPM (cost per impression) advertising.
  •  The next reason is simple as a person when views more than one page he is more likely to remember it or subscribe it, and may also become a loyal reader.
How will I add links to Old posts?
  • Just make a keyword in your post into a link that opens to some other post on the topic of that keyword.
  • Sometimes your posts become dated and need to be reconstructed.
All you have to do is write a replica on the same topic and leave a link in your earlier post to the new one.

“Don’t replicate the title of your previous post!!”
  • Further reading is an ample opportunity for you to make the readers read more.
Adding manually chosen links for further reading is the best option.

You may add suggested links both at the end and throughout the post itself.

Last Key:-
Always choose relevant keywords to the article you are linking to. It maximizes SEO benefits and will definitely make you flourish in Google.

Generous? Link to other Blogs!

One day I faced a query, “How to build a readership on my first blog?”

The only answer that could come out of my mouth was to link to other blogs.

It’s a tradition!
A writer used to write a post and link it to hundreds that were connected to the essence of the article in some or other way.

Was it worthy?
  • Ideas scattered way the blogosphere randomly.
  • Bloggers across the world writing on the same issue got connected.
  • Mutual interdependence filtered out the probability of hindrance in traffic of any of the blogs.
Why did this happen?
  • It is always an ease for the readers to navigate to details on some typical phrases and words that you use in your blog.
  • Highlighting other blogs brings out your credibility and your publicity in the blogosphere.
  • It gains you a worldwide reputation.
  • Connecting with other bloggers helps you to work out ideas and often adds value to your ongoing conversation.
  • SEO’s are there to grab some useful keywords that you link and see you aware of popular posts. Your blog will easily get a hike to a great extent and prove that you are worthy.
Track Related Blogs!
  • Get subscriptions to other blogs writing the same as you.
  • Eye upon the social bookmarking sites covering topics in your industry.
  • Entitle to news alerts like Google Alerts, Mashable News etc.
“Remember, link only after analyzing the page where you are making your reader to navigate. A poor quality page navigation can soil down your blog’s impression……………”

10 Ways to Promote Your Blog Post

Sometimes, even on launching your blog with efficient techniques, it becomes difficult to drag regular traffic.

Then you have to be more specific and do something to introduce your new posts to the readers.

Here comes the concept of promotion of a blog post !!

The following are 10 ways to promote your blog post:-

Don’t do this for every post but the selected ones only!!!

Other Bloggers are there! Pitching them is a good idea!!

You may connect with other bloggers to link up your posts.

That is, in your article you create a link to his blog and ask him to do the same for your blog.

So many special networks are there!
You may definitely make the use of sites like twitter, facebook and linkedin to share your link.

Don’t exclusively keep on posting links about your blog, but at times choose the hot topics and seed the link to your friends.

You may not get an initial boost of traffic but it will grow as your blog grows powerful.

Link in your own site !!
Before thinking of any other media of launching your post you can interlink your own site about your newly launched post.

You may create columns and separate wings to highlight “Latest Posts to catch the eye of the reader."

E-mail News !
It is always the best method to have an email newsletter, so that you may shoot out an email regarding your new post as the users who check their e-mails regularly will get a chance to visit your blog if they have interest in your latest post.

Comment and discuss on other blogs….
Choose some popular blogs of your niche. Read them well.

Join their forum and discuss regularly on their respective posts. Comment on each of them.

Laterally you may paste the link of your blog asking “for further details……….”

This method is quite efficient only if the comments and discussions are relevant and highly appreciable.

While you create an e-mail !
You may use your e-mail signature that is, whenever you email someone, paste the link of your blog.

But in this case instead the link of your blog, you can paste the links of your latest posts.

To be continued...

You can add the new post starting from the old one where you perhaps left it.

This way you can build the momentum by interlinking your posts and thereby attract viewers.

Advertise…

The posts which you think are of great quality and well admired by readers, you can fund a small kind of advertisement.

Adwards and StumbleUpon are good options!

Campaign your blog!

Capture Mainstream Media.
Your new posts should be relevant with what most of the people are thinking about in the world. It is not at all advisable to propagate each blog everyday.

Article Marketing !!
I won’t recommend posting the same article used to article marketing sites as it may fetch you a problem with Google.

Though you may find bloggers repeating their key articles for marketing.

So, start selecting amongst your recent posts and promote some of them only which you think are the best ones.

Go Ahead !!!

How to write an Elevator Pitch?

After writing pages and pages, sometimes it becomes difficult to give a title or write a summary.

The same is in the case of blogs! Getting an efficient elevator pitch often disturbs your mind to a great extent.

Here are some keys to write your elevator pitch. Go through them:-

Solve a Problem or Need
Try to start giving solutions to people’s problems, not on global level which may appear as a lecture rather. Choose topics that people meet with in their day-to –day lives as

“Bored from studies??? Open the internet and……………………………………”

Define your Audience
Specify your viewers’ category. Target your readers and write for them only.

Mention the type of your viewers in the pitch, whom for your blog is and why they should view your blog !

Be confident! Be clear!!
Don’t spare people a second guessing what you are trying to say……

Your elevator pitch should be simple and clear.

It may contain some tricky words but at the end its meaning should be clear to everyone.

Remember, you are new ! You won’t get so much time out of your viewer’s schedule. So don’t make them think too much.

Make it brief
People have limited capacity, attention and time. So, make sure your elevator pitch is short and effective.

Use Intrigues:-
Elevator pitch should be a decorative gateway to your blog. It should encourage people to read your blog more…..

You should not fill it up with matters as such, but it should contain something that stays in the mind of people who may hear it in future from some other sources.

Try Questions
People are easily coiled by questions rather then descriptions.

Launch a Blog using an Elevator Pitch

What is an elevator pitch?
It is brief overview of a project product or service, not too subjective but attractive and short.

As the name suggests elevator pitch is something which has to be accomplished within the time that an elevator takes to reach its destination.

It is generally used for marketing a product or to launch a programme.

You may be wondering, why I am saying all these!!!!!

Well, everyone of you wants to create your own blog.

No doubt you are a master of letters and you’ve got a good hold on the language but still it requires something more to attract browsers to view your blog.

For this you may need an elevator pitch for marketing your blog. It will accelerate the traffic towards your blog as they know what to see and find in your blog.

Follow two norms:-
Don’t elaborate !! Inspire your viewers to know more!!

Be crystal clear about your blog, else you shouldn’t expect your viewers to know what to find in your blog.

Where to use your elevator pitch???
Make your tag line speak entirely what your blog is!

Your ‘About Us’ page is the one mostly viewed by new readers.

Strike it using an elevator pitch showing, why should they come back !!

In your office or parties, there are many real life conversations. Even on web you get to participate in a kind of popular debates and discussions. Use them to launch and discuss your blog.

Most of you must be having their business cards. Use an elevator pitch, so attractive using your mind that people remind you in the name of your blog.

Influence journalists to search their pitches when you have a thoughtful one for them to like and notice.

Influence other bloggers to write giving your story as an example. This will popularize you amongst new comers in this field.

Target people’s e-mails and create your signatures.

Don’t simply write your name but give an elevator pitch to focus their eyes upon your signature.

Use social media to foster your blog. Not only insist people to follow your blog but give sufficient reasons, why should they do so!!
